Terrace washing and oiling

If your patio no longer looks good or becomes slippery in wet weather, it's time to refresh it.

Terrace laundry

Before oiling the terrace, it is necessary to wash it thoroughly. It is wise to use a pressure washer and a brush to wash the terrace. When washing with a washer, make sure that the washing nozzle is not too close to the planks and does not damage them. The brush can also remove strongly attached dirt or lichen, which makes the surface of the planks greenish and very slippery when wet. Most of the time, we wash without chemicals, but in the case of planks that are especially dirty or have not been maintained for a long time, the use of chemicals is sometimes unavoidable.

Terrace oiling

Oiling ensures that the wood is very resistant to UV radiation, precipitation, and temperature fluctuations. Oiling also inhibits the growth of all kinds of plants on the board that can damage it.

According to the customer's wishes, there is an option to choose whether to use solvent or water-based decking oil, as well as a choice of colors, from untinted oil to jet black.

We recommend washing the terrace at least once a year and oiling it every 2-3 years. This will ensure the durability of the board for many years.

Washing and oiling a terrace is not a difficult job, however, it should be noted that depending on the specifics of the work, it is not possible to complete the work faster than 2 days. After washing, the terrace must dry for at least 10+ hours, then it is often necessary to tape the edges and only after that can the first layer of oil be applied to the board. Depending on the weather conditions, it is sometimes possible to apply the second layer on the same day, but most often it must be done the next day. Thus, the work can take 2-3 days.

A clean and well-maintained terrace is beautiful and safe!
